NOTE: The book recommendation I have for you is at the bottom of this email.
But first, I gotta get something off my chest that’s also going to serve as a great lesson for you.
I’m borrowing a page from Jordan Belfort (the Wolf of Wall Street), minus the drugs, hookers, jail and STDs.
I keep getting asked, “When are you going to leave California?”
I ain’t F#ck!ing leaving!
Look, I see the same stuff you’re seeing.
I see California getting more expensive, some of my favorite parts are getting run down and it’s becoming even more socialist.
For over a decade it’s been going downhill and governor Newsome’s recent policies have made it worse.
Don’t think it didn’t cross my mind when I see that I’m getting taxed 13% more here in California than if I lived in most other states.
I’ve looked at homes in Arizona, Texas, and Florida.
But there’s NOTHING like California. And if you live here or have visited here then you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.
Where else can you surf and snowboard on the same day?
And then you’ve got the perfect weather, the beaches, and the mountains.
California, there’s no place like it.
Now the reason why I’m sharing this with you is that I want to make California great again!
I refuse to run away from the disaster that California has become.
I refuse to run away, period!
Let’s say California was your business and it was facing a problem.
Would you bury your head in the sand like an ostrich and wait for the problem to go away?
Would you abandon your business and run and start another business in its place and hope that this time things are better?
No! You’d stand your ground and do anything within your power to find the solution.
That’s why I’m not leaving California. I’m going to face the problems head-on and find solutions to them.
And for the people who are gonna say it’s cheaper to NOT live in California, here’s some advice:
Don’t downgrade your lifestyle. Upgrade your income. MAKE MORE MONEY.
If I’m going to get taxed more to live in an awesome state, I simply need to make more money…
…because downgrading the quality of your life is simply NOT how anyone should live.
P.S. Here’s the book I suggest you read…
