MONEY IS THE WORST CURRENCY TO GET RICH

I’ve been broke with money in the bank.

And I’ve been rich with my account in the red.

Sounds backwards, I know. But stick with me, because this is the thing most entrepreneurs never figure out…

Money is the lowest form of currency you can earn.

There are two others that are worth way more. You can’t deposit them, you can’t spend them, and you sure as hell can’t get them from a 9-5 or a Robinhood account.

But every entrepreneur I know who’s truly rich has a pile of both.

Here’s what I mean.

When I was building Fit Body Boot Camp, there were months the bank account was negative. Dude, I was one week out of bicep surgery with a cast on my arm, cracking open my laptop with my left hand trying to figure out how to pay the medical bills.

On paper I was broke.

But I was stacking the two currencies that matter, and that’s what took me from a personal trainer making $4,000 a month to an international franchise.

So let me break down all three so you can stop chasing the cheap one and start stacking the two that actually move the needle.

THE 3 CURRENCIES THAT MAKE YOU WEALTHY:

1) Network Currency

This is the highest form of currency there is.

One phone call to the right person is worth more than a year of grinding it out alone. The right intro gets you the vendor, the hire, the deal, the shortcut that took somebody else 5 years and $200,000 to figure out.

Look at Jim Franco. He was a client of mine. One relationship, and he taught me sales, marketing, and money mindset, loaned me $126,000, and gave me the come to Jesus talks I needed. No bank was going to do that for a broke trainer.

Most people spend their whole career trying to earn money so they can eventually meet the right people…

…when meeting the right people is what earns you the money.

2) Time Currency

I can make more money. I can’t make more time.

When I was starting out I worked 18 hour days, but I wasn’t trading those hours for dollars. I was building systems, hiring people, and creating processes so that eventually Fit Body could run without me standing in the building.

That’s time currency. Every system you install buys back hours, and every hour you buy back is one you can spend on the thing that actually grows the business, or with your family, or in the gym.

The entrepreneur who’s doing everything himself at 11pm might be making money…

…but he’s going broke on time.

3) Financial Currency

Last is cash.

Don’t get me wrong, you need it to operate. Payroll doesn’t care about your network.

But I’ve watched this play out with hundreds of entrepreneurs I’ve coached. The ones chasing dollars stay stuck at the same number year after year. The ones who build the network and buy back their time look up one day and the money caught up to them.

I share this with you because if money is the only currency you’re earning right now, you’re playing the short game.

You’ll make a quick buck. And you’ll miss the relationships and the systems that make the big money possible.

Stack all three and your current income goal is gonna look like pocket change.

The problem is most entrepreneurs spend 10 years trying to earn the first two on their own…

…and I don’t want you to wait that long.

P.S. That’s the whole reason I built Scale Syndicate. It’s where I hand you the first two currencies on day one.

It’s my 12-month mastermind where we get on a call every month and meet up in person every quarter. The room is your network currency. The marketing, sales, and leadership systems I pull straight out of my companies are your time currency.

The financial currency takes care of itself from there.

Our next meet up is coming up and I’d love to intro you to the group.
