These are just some of the lies men tell themselves…
One day I’m going to start exercising.
One day I’m going to start eating right.
One day I’m going to make more money.
One day I’ll stop drinking.
One day I’ll stop watching porn.
One day I’ll be a better husband and father.
Here’s the problem with “one day” – one day never comes.
This is why anxiety, depression, guilt, and shame are so high in men today…
…because you know you can do better but are stuck in this lower state.
Listen, I’m not talking down to you brother – I’ve been there.
If you’ve ever read my book Man Up or listened to my podcast then you know that I’ve had my vices and I’ve fallen victim to the trap of “one day” too.
I was so stressed at that time that I would literally emotionally eat several thousand calories in one sitting.
Then at night when I wasn’t able to fall asleep I’d take Vicodin and NyQuil and literally drug myself to sleep.
It all came crashing down around me when I had a massive anxiety attack, which I thought was a heart attack.
At that point I was sick and tired of being over fat, stressed, depressed, addicted, and in debt.
I hate to admit it, but it took all that and everything to come crashing down for me to wake the f#ck up and start becoming the congruent man I wanted to be.
